#5MinOfTravel – A Not So You Women Abroad
I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Julie Beckers, founder of A Not So Young Women Abroad. What I really admire about Julie is that she never dropped her dream to travel the world. Even after she had to put this dream on hold for a while as she had 2 children by the age of 23. Needless to say, as soon as Julie found herself single again she jumped on that dream and became a true adventurer!
I found speaking to Julie extremely inspirational; listening to her stories, getting advice from her, and exchanging ideas. It quickly became apparent that she is extremely down to earth and grounded, which comes through in her blogs.
My favorite element of her blog (A Not So Young Women Abroad) is that with every story you could see yourself going on that adventure, her blogs aren’t for pure entertainment. What I mean is that you don’t read Julie’s blogs with the thought ‘what a great story’, you read them and think ‘this sounds great, I could do this’.
So, on that note, I hope you enjoy the interview.
Some of my favorite blogs from A Not So Young Women Abroad include:
- 10 reasons why I prefer to travel solo as an older women
- Best things to do in Singapore
- 10 great places for first time not so young solo women travellers
